Land location selection comes first. The first criterion in the design and development stages of a successful water park is land selection. First of all, it is very important to control the relevant municipal administration from the zoning works in order to understand that such an investment can be made on the selected land. Once it is understood that the ground is conducive to this investment from a legislative point of view, other criteria become more important.
- Our next criterion is that there is a certain main road front; Aquaparks, which are right near the highways, positively affect the active use of aquaparks, as they will allow people to get off in front of the aquapark with public transportation facilities and also to get in front of it and return home.
- The existence of an adequate parking space in the aquapark, the large number of vehicles in today's conditions and the presence of at least one vehicle in each house emphasize the parking needs. It is therefore important to provide sufficient parking space.
- Advertising and promotion; Advertising, which is one of the very important criteria, reveals the need to promote the existence of the aquapark in a way that will also announce the existence of the aquapark to the neighboring provinces and states. Researches also reveal that aquapark customers travel up to 5-25 km during the week and up to 100 km on weekends for aquapark visits. It has been further agreed that 30% of the guest vehicles in the aquapark parking lots belong to plates from the surrounding provinces. This rate increases up to 40% at the end of the week.
-Land size selection; While it is not possible to present exact values in this regard, planning for land selection can be planned for 5,000 to 8,000 m² in provinces with a total population of up to 300,000, 11,000 to 20,000 m² in provinces with a total population of up to 1 million, and 25,000 m² to 50,000 m² in provinces with larger populations.
It is worth noting and remembering that aquaparks can accommodate an average of 100 clients (89 to 108) per 1000 m² of surface area.
- It is also important to be able to plan the layout of the space for slide groups, pools, cafeterias and restaurants in the aquaparks and, if applicable, for the wedding section. Making a settlement that can make the customer feel that he can enter a different world is only possible with successful layout planning. Due to this reason, obtaining the help and services of companies and professional teams that build and operate a water park is one of the most important keys to success.
